Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and following New York State guidelines to limit public gatherings, Flushing Cemetery is taking the following steps to limit exposure beginning Monday, March 14, 2022:
Thank you,
Flushing Cemetery Management
- Chapel Services – our chapel will no longer be available for use
- Memorial Chapel and Memorial Chapel Mausoleum Services – We will allow next of kin only (not to exceed 2 people) inside any of our mausoleums for a chapel crypt or niche entombment. Additional family members may enter upon the exit of cemetery personnel.
- Outside services – A prayer service will be allowed for the attendees not to exceed 50 people. Our staff will not unload the casket with family members present. After the prayer service, our staff will not approach the casket until all attendees have returned to their vehicles.
- One casket piece and 4 additional flower pieces will be accepted from funeral processions.
- All bodies which are not fully embalmed must be placed in a pouch.
Thank you,
Flushing Cemetery Management
